Arsenal’s French manager Arsene Wenger has quashed media reports that playmaker Mesut Ozil was looking for a way out of the club.
The German who joined the North London club from Real Madrid in a club record transfer had an indifferent season where he was in and out of form.
The English media has also been very critical of Ozil’s performances in an Arsenal shirt as he has come in for several bashing from top football pundits in the land.
“He is a wonderful player who is completely committed to the club and focused on getting some good results,” said the French coach ahead of the Gunners’ Monday night clash with Liverpool.
With Arsenal’s relative inactivity in the transfer market thus far, the sale of one of their top player could not be the kind of news Gunners faithfuls would be looking to read.
