REVEALED: Falcao cried because of Van Gaal's treatment

Louis van Gaal reduced Radamel Falcao to tears due to his treatment of the Colombia international, according to the Daily Mail.

Falcao, 29, spent last season on loan at Old Trafford, earning £280,000-a-week during his spell in Manchester, as reported by the Mail.

However, the former Atletico Madrid striker failed to make an impact at Man United, with the Red Devils deciding against making his loan move into a permanent transfer.

During Falcao’s year at Old Trafford, the striker had a tough time often being in and out of the team. The 29-year-old started just 14 times under the Dutchman.

Furthermore, the big money star was ordered to play for Man United’s under-21 side on a number of occasions as Van Gaal wanted him to gain more match fitness.

However, the Mail report that Falcao’s friends say that the 29-year-old was so unhappy by the Dutchman’s treatment of him, he was left in tears during his spell at Old Trafford.

The Colombia international mustered just four goals in 26 Premier League games for the Red Devils, while he had a shot accuracy of 55% and a chance conversion rate of 13.8%.

Falcao is now of course at the home of the Premier League champions Chelsea, but the striker will have to impress another demanding manager in Jose Mourinho.
