Chelsea alerted as Guardiola prefers London to Manchester #monday

Chelsea have had their interest piqued by the understanding that Pep Guardiola would favour a move to London in the future, according to the Daily Mail.

The decorated Bayern manager’s contract is up at the end of the current season and unless a new deal is agreed, Guardiola will be considering his options for a switch.

With the Premier League apparently top of the Spaniard’s preferences, as per the report, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City could all be interested in securing the 44-year-old’s services.

The Mail claim that a move to London is preferable and Chelsea could be keen. Jose Mourinho has had a difficult start to the Premier League season with just three wins from nine, a major surprise given how easily the Blues won the title last season.

Mourinho insisted that he would not walk away from the job at Chelsea, and performances have started to marginally improve.

If, though, Guardiola is available in the summer and the Blues were to miss out on Champions League qualification, it is possible that the board would move for the former Barcelona man.

Bayern Munich have started the season incredibly well under the big name Spaniard, the Bundesliga champions have won their opening nine league games, scoring a stunning 29 goals already.
