Adedotun Durojaiye, the Acting Clerk of the Nigerian Senate, has died.

Vanguard reports that the Acting Clerk had been under the weather for some time, before he passed away at a hospital in Abuja.

The report stated that Durojaiye, who became Acting Clerk in 2014, died on Sunday night.

Durojaiye presided over the controversial inauguration of the eighth senate, which produced Bukola Saraki as Senate President.
